Review:
The BMW 8 is a comfortable sport coupe car.
The BMW coupe of 8-Series debuted in September 1989. It was sportive, comfortable, up-to-date car had extra-class equipment with the usage of modern technologies. The coupe got all power elements which were typical for BMW. The car had the perfect, modern traction control, system of steering the rear wheels, suspension and adaptive intelligent automatic transmission with the system of automate adjustment of body level (with two modes: Comfort and Sport). The engine with the aluminum unit of cylinders and cylinder head were the same as on 750i model.

The BMW 850i was created for comfortable long distance trips due to the elegantly trimmed salon, ergonomically seats and effective engine. The car is of Gran Turismo class. Since 1992, 850CSi model had been equipped with 5578 cc V12 S70 B56, which could provide the capacity of 380 hp. The integral rear axle of the BMW coupe of 8-Series provided the perfect road-holding ability especially on turns.
In 1994, 850Ci model was equipped with the new 5.4L 12-cylinder М73, with the capacity 327 hp and automatic transmission but the price turned out to be quite high. So, in 1993 the 840Ci model appeared together with 8-cylinder 286 hp power unit and 6-speed transmission and less electronic devices. In 1995, 840Ci model had got the v-shaped 8-cylinder М62 with the increased to 4.4 L volume and the capacity of 286 hp. The 6-speed manual transmission was less popular than automate. The drivers who preferred more sportive style could choose the other model from the BMW line which was less heard. The maximum speed was 250 km / h.

The automatic stability control system with driving tire traction (ASC-T) and braking system with ABS proved the maximum level of security with the stable driving. The pleasure from driving was added with the functional and with gusto made interior.
Since 1996, BMW periodically claimed that the production of BMW 8 would be ended soon; thou the car was discontinued only in 1999.
