Hyundai H-1 is the second name of the Hyundai Starex that is being produced since 1997 until today and is sold in almost 70 countries around the world. The H-1 is the name used for the European market; it is also sometimes called Hyundai Satellite or Hyundai H200.
The first generation of these cars was made until 2007. It was based on the Mitsubishi Delica platform and was available in different body styles that were used as taxis, ambulances, pick-ups, vans and minibuses around the world. The original engine installed in the first generation of Hyundai H1 was the 2.5 liter V8 SOHC engine with turbodiesel option and 85 hp output. The feature package included LSD and ABS systems, four-speed automatic transmission as optional one, driver’s airbag and back-up sensors to help the driver in the parking lots. The fist generation model of Hyundai H-1 had up to ten or twelve seats. With the following years of production exterior design of the car was slightly modified and the new 2.5 liter diesel DOHC engine with 16 valves and direct turbo injection was added. This engine gave the Hyundai H1 123 hp and 360 n/m of torque.
The second generation appeared in 2007 and was much larger and stronger than its predecessor. It had a 2.5 liter CRDi engine with four cylinders and 167 hp of capacity. The interior modifications apart from the additional space and wider seats in the salon concerned the feature package. The new generation of Hyundai H1 has every single possible feature to offer. These features are: leather upholstery in the optional luxury package, all power features, keyless entry, audio system with DVD player and radio as well as iPod connection, LCD control panel with every possible option installed, air conditioning system with climate control option and much more.
With all the above Hyundai H1 makes a really nice family vehicle for those who need a comfortable and reliable vehicle to take their kids to school and drive to work every day. And if this is not enough, you can always upgrade your Hyundai H1 with everything you want it to have.
