The glorious history of SUZUKI GSX-R750 starts in 1981 when it made its debut at the marathon routes GS1000R XR41. On the base of the bike was created by Suzuki GSX-R750 in 1984 as a road replica. It should be mentioned that differences in the chassis and the frame of the sports prototype was very little. These sporting roots had determined high extreme shapes of the motorcycle for all the years of its life. The main difference of the 1992 model from predecessors was water cooling instead of air-oil. This allowed to improve the performance and durability of the engine, but unfortunately made it much heavier. Before that the bike attracted buyers by incredibly small mass.
The engine is free from any significant flaws. In general it is very unpretentious, maintainable and hardy power unit. Like most engines of the "old" school, it is bushing that allows repair boring. The power supply system is also distinguished by Spartan simplicity and unpretentiousness. No electronic control carburetor or injection, easy as true. Gearbox and clutch of the first GSX-R750 was quite fragile, but the constant refinement of transmission led to that 1992 model had become almost standard in reliability and quality of work. The problems appeared from time to time with the second gear, but it is not a flaw of the gearbox. It is the result of frankly work of the transmission, clutch and throttle. Please consider this when purchasing! Brakes do not correspond to the dynamic capabilities of the motorcycle.
Obsolescence makes itself felt. But this only applies to motorcycles 1992-93. In the future, the problem was solved by installing the most modern staples. Comfort is present only in the sense that it allows driver to experience the bike with every fiber of the body and mind. And in fact, the unit is hard like a log. And this applies to each of its features: suspension, seats and behavior. Suspension is quite satisfactory to their work. The rear shock sometimes can overheat. But essentially it is shown only during very active driving.
