Review:
The company introduced a new Kawasaki sport-touring bike Kawasaki Versys 1000, based on a 1043-cc engine from the Z1000 model. Novelty received an aluminum frame with a diagonal additional gripping device, retaining the engine. Shifted to the right side shock absorber is the unique feature of the junior model of Versys has special lever and got moved to the depths of the pendulum. The engine was reconfigured so that the peak power of the engine Kawasaki Versys 1000 is only 116 hp and has torque of 102 Nm. However, by reducing of the power and torque at high rpm, the one liter version of Versys managed to raise these rates at medium and low revs, which, of course, is more important for the tour motorcycle.

It weighs 239 kg, so Versys 1000 is not the lightest bike, but it looks a little slimmer than, for example, recently introduced Honda Crosstourer 2012 motorcycle, which weighs more than 270 kg. The new Versys 1000 has 17-inch wheels with multi tasking tires Pirelli Scorpion Trail. Engine Versus 1000 can operate in two modes according to the options of rider: at full capacity or use just 75% of it. Obviously, the second option is suitable for quiet cruising speed and optimizes fuel consumption. Also bike has KTRC traction control with three levels of adjustment. Also standard packaging arrangement of the new 1000 Kawasaki Versus includes anti-lock braking system. Suspension of the bike quite normal: 43 mm fork with the ability to preload the spring and rebound adjustment, rear shock absorber with the same parameters of adjustment.

In general there is nothing revolutionary. Fuel tank has capacity Versisa of 21 liters. Other features of the Kawasaki Versys 1000: cool electronic package consisting, as we have already mentioned, of the 3-level traction control, ABS and cards injection switch, adjustable in the range of 30 mm windshield, steel frame can withstand 220-kg load. Suspension movement remained within Versisa ideology: 150 mm front and rear. But wheelbase of the bike and its unladed weight increased significantly, making one-liter bike not very appropriate in the city driving.
