Mercedes-Benz M class vehicles were produced since 1998 until the current time. It’s a luxury midsize SUV model line that became a best seller in Mexico and United States and relived three generations of production.
The Mercedes-Benz ML 320 is a first car launched by the Mercedes Company as the ML series representative in the North American market. The 320 suffix stands for the 3.2 liter V6 engine used in the basic equipment of the car. Another SUV’s were equipped with 2.3 liter engines or the 2.7 liter turbocharged engines. The entire line of the engines consisted of the following models: the 2.3 liter petrol M111.970 I4, the 2.7 liter diesel OM612 I5, the 3.2 liter petrol M112 E32 V6, the 3.7 liter petrol M112 E37, the 4.0 liter diesel OM628 V8, the 4.3 liter petrol M113 E43, the 5.0 liter petrol M113 E50 V8 and the 5.4 liter petrol M113 E55 V8 one. The transmission options of the Mercedes-Benz ML 320 were not so diverse and consisted of only five-speed manual or automatic 5G-Tronic one.
The Mercedes-Benz ML 320 became the most loved and purchased SUV during the years of its production. It even won several titles and awards in some of the national magazines. The Motor Trend magazine gave it the Truck of the year award in 1998.
The second generation produced in 2005-2011 relived some significant redesigning. The car got the look it has today and the seven-speed automatic transmission was added as well as the hybrid version of the car.
