The Hyundai Terracan is the first Korean off-road vehicle, which was presented in 2001 on Geneva Auto Show. The first Korean jeep with a solid frame construction.
The last version of the Hyundai Terracan is distinguished with the chromed radiator grille, new handles, leathern salon and the wooden trimming. The exterior of the Huyndai Terracan quite memorable: the powerful fresh-air intake on the hood, big bright lights, solid wind dodger with massive bumpers, heavy rear lights. The profile of the car is rather characteristic, too. The rear spoiler singles out on it. It gives the distinctive elegance to the body. The optics is original, too. From the rear, there are relief reflectors and lamps with the special caps located under the transparent colorful guard.
The interior is in European style. The dashboard is common and easy-to-go but enough informative at the same time. The steering wheel and the center console have the decorative wooden inserts. The center tunnel consists not only of automate transmission but also of rotary knob for the transmission management, of switch button for rear window wiper-washer.
The high mounting and the large glazed area provide the perfect observability.
The second seat row can accommodate 3 persons, but only when there are 2 persons they will not feel the discomfort. There is also a 3-row version. The Huyndai Terracan has a large trunk and the folded rear seats. Despite of the wide door, the high doorstep complicates a little the access to the salon.
The Huyndai Terracan is equipped with 2,9 CRDI turbo diesel providing the capacity of 163 hp. The fans of the spin may also choose the 3.5 L 200 hp V6 gasoline power unit. The customer is offered a 4-speed automate transmission or 5-speed manual one. The Terracan’s suspension is rather rigid than soft.
The standard package includes the radio-recorder, the air-conditioner, the steering booster, the driver’s air bag, the electric windows, central locking, fog lights, the rear window wiper-washer.
