Lincoln Town Car is an American full-size rear-drive six-passenger car of "luxury" category with frame chassis and engine V8. It was manufactured from 1981 by Lincoln-Mercury division of Ford Motor Company.
As for the interior, it is not pompous but very attractive, with the finish of walnut, satin nickel-plated metal handles, polished metal clock in the center of the instrument panel, steering wheel which is trimmed with leather and wood, and other similar items made of leather and wood. Although the the dashboard looks a bit poor, compared to other parts, it has a speedometer, fuel level and coolant sensors, two digital displays - odometer and trip computer.
Front-seat of Town Car can accommodate three people, but still the central passenger will feel quite uncomfortable. The driver can adjust the tilt steering column and the gas and brake pedals which can be configured with one touch of a button. Of course, the two seats are heated, in the middle there is a folding armrest with a "pocket", two retractable cup holders are located just below between the seats. Creators Town Car took a good care of the rear passengers. If there will be not enough space for the legs of right passenger, he can move the front seat forward, pressing a button on the center armrest. Rear seats also are heated with two temperature regimes; they have folding mirrors, which are located in the ceiling, two cup holders, reading lights, a few "pockets" for various small items and a secret outlet for 12 V.
With the latest innovations of suspension and steering 2003 Town Car can boast the excellent characteristics and a comfortable ride. Rigid chassis and refined independent short and long front suspension arms and a movable rear axle have significantly improved maneuverability and quality of movement. Steering has become rack and power is filling with severity while increasing of speed.
Model 2003 is available in the following trim levels: Executive, Signature, Cartier and Cartier L with a long-wheelbase and Executive L. 239-strong 4.6-liter V8 is a heart of Town Car. The car accelerates up to 100 km / h in 9.2 seconds. Considering that Town Car is a rear wheel drive car, stability control comes very out of place, but it can be disabled if it is needed.
