Review:
The third generation of Mitsubishi Outlander was presented at the Geneva motor show in 2012. Externally, the car has changed radically. There was no trace from the style of a Jet Fighter, which decorated the previous XL.
The company Mitsubishi Motors says about the implementation of design as of “three Sâ€: solid, safe and simple. The exterior has got simple and easy forms, clear lines and laconic surface, soft and flexible shape. As the developers say, the car became more courageous and brutal. The frontal part has something in common with the more senior fellow Pajero Sport and Pajero Wagon.

The inside content of the crossover Mitsubishi Outlander (III-generation) became older and of higher quality. Interior was cozy with a thought-out ergonomics. The noise insulation was noticeably improved and it was reduced vibration. The front torpedo became more massive forms; center console got the touch screen. The screen resolution also improved - 800x480 dpi against former 480x234 dpi. The steering wheel received electric power; his weight was decreased to 300 g., making driving more comfortable.
The car is offered with the same engine 2,0 (150 HP) and 2.4 l. (170 HP) and diesel 2.2 l. (150 HP) with a low compression ratio of 14.9:1. As a transmission it was provided with a new variable speed INVECS-III CVT. Starting the gasoline engine will be adjusted only on the mono-gear versions of Outlander, more powerful engines are working with all-wheel drive.

Through the use of lightweight high-strength materials, the Mitsubishi engineers managed to reduce the weight of a new car. In addition to this, due to the improvement of aerodynamics and finalization of the engines they could increase the maximum speed, improve acceleration to 100 km/h and reduce fuel consumption by 10%. For example, a four-wheel drive of Outlander 2.4 uses of 8.1 l. per 100 km, instead of the 9 l (combined cycle).
As before, this Outlander is more focused on the light off-road, rather than on the steep off-road areas. But this is a feature all fans like it.
