This looks like something we could use today . Perhaps an electric city car version . Could be built easily to weight under 1500 lbs and cost around $8,000 to &10,000 . It would need only a 30 to 50 mile range and would be a perfect short hop commuter and errand runner . I suspect as long as the the oil lobby has it's way we will be doomed to gas guzzling behemoths . It even is a rather pleasing looking car and not some ugly bubble looking thing nobody really wants .
