Wishing to finish celebrating the semi-centennial of company producing of new model, guidance of the Japanese auto giant Honda decided to work out a sporting car that would answer the highest requirements. Development of prototype of «machine of the future» started in 1995. Already then a company presented an experimental standard, getting the name Honda SSM.
