Review:

Suzuki GS is a huge series of Japanese motorcycles with a really great range of models all of which are equipped with parallel-twin air-cooled I4 engine that has two or four valves per cylinder. That way every Suzuki GS representative is a really powerful vehicle that every sport bike lover would be happy to have. During the years of this bikes’ production engine displacement ranged from 125 cc up to 1150 cc, making this series a great example of Universal Japanese motorcycles. Suzuki GS The “G” prefix in the name of the model indicates that the vehicle instead of chain drive system is using a shaft drive. The G series is also a great family of flat-seat bikes. Another series, the one with the GL prefix in the model’s names, represents cruiser-style bikes with smaller tanks, shorter exhausts and chrome fenders. The most famous models of the Suzuki GS series are considered the Suzuki GS450 and the GS500. The Suzuki GS 450 bike first appeared in 1980. It replaced the Suzuki 400 bike and became really popular at that time. The engine option of this one included the 487 cc air-cooled parallel twin two-cylinder DOHC engine completed with the chain drive six-speed transmission. This engine gave the bike 44 hp (33 kW) of power and the maximum speed of 160 km/hour, not bad for a bike of that time. The GS450’s price varied from $400 up to $1000 depending on the modification and additional options installed. Suzuki GS The GS500 appeared in 1989 with the second generation that appeared in 2004. The first version of GS500 was equipped with 487 cc air-cooled parallel twin engine taken from the previous GS450 model line. This engine was supplemented with a six-speed manual transmission and a really nice feature package. In 2004 the renewed model of 500 series appeared, the GS500E. This one looked more sporty and aggressive and had some better rider comfort thanks with improved wind protection system and aerodynamics. The GS500У series was also featured with an oil cooler that made it easier to drive this bike.
