Toyota Motor Company will present a Camatte57s roadster at International Tokyo Toy Show 2013 that will start on June 13th. This cute car is not designed for usual roads and is supposed to be used by kids at venues with roofs. However, it’s really difficult to call such creation a toy; it is equipped with an electric motor, adjustable driver\'s seat and pedals, real lights and so on.
The entire vehicle, as intended by Japanese manufacturers, is a kind of a constructor that could be assembled by kind and their parents. The constructor allows the parents to create a perfect car while playing with their kids. So, the idea was not only to have but, but also to bring two generations together while having fun. There are even two seats prepared for the kid and parent, so that they could ride Camatte57s together. The wheel goes to a child, but parents can control the roadster by grabbing the steering wheel if needed.
All of the technical characteristics of this Camatte57s are still unrevealed, but it is known that this won’t become a serial production any time soon. Too sad, as the interest for such toy may grow with every day, especially after the Toy Show. Apart from that, such vehicle could work as attraction for mature audience, especially parents who love cars. The length of the roadster is 300 cm, its width – 144 cm and height – 100 cm. Wheelbase is 180 cm long.
The name Camatte means “taking care” in Japanese. Such name was chosen to underline that the roadster is designed to develop the skills of caring for others and caring for cars. The S prefix comes from Japanese word Sawaru that means “by touch”. Such name represents the idea that people should experience more emotions when communicating with each other.
External panels of the concept are presented with 57 easily replaced details that allow the owner to change appearance of his Camatte57s as he wishes. Not only can the configuration be changet, it is also available in different color options so that the roadster transforms into a sport car.
