The Iveco Stralis — the turnpike tractor released by the Italian company Iveco S.p.A. In hierarchy of Iveco is intermediate between average Evrocargo and heavy Trakker.
Iveco Stralis appeared in 2002, as the uniform receiver for the main Iveco — EuroStar and EuroTech tractors. Stralis the first of turnpike tractors received an automatic adjustable-speed unit in reference equipment. The new truck positively was estimated by buyers and critics, and in 2003 of Stralis got the prestigious award Truck of Year. In 2007 small restyling during which there were changes in internal and external registration of a cabin was carried out, and also there was a new, biggest option of a cabin of Active Space Cube. In 2012 of Stralis it was completely updated and the Stralis Hi-Way model got repeatedly the award Truck of Year 2013.
The most popular cargo modifications: the tractor with the semi-trailer, the individual truck, the individual truck + the trailer on a rigid hitch, the greatest possible cumulative weight for all options makes 44 tons. All modifications are completed with line six-cylinder Cursor engines with a turbo-supercharging, with power from 310 to 560 h.p., follow-up equipped with a motor brake.
At the moment all made Stralis conform to the Euro 5 standard that is reached by means of use of SCR system. Depending on wheel base thickness of longerons of a frame can vary from 6,7 mm to 7,7 mm.
Options of a wheel formula - 4x2 and 6x2. Brakes - disk, ventilated with ABC system.
Types of cabins:
AD (Active Day) — a narrow cabin without a berth with a low roof
AT (Active Time) — a cabin equipped with a berth, with a low or high roof
AS (Active Space) — the most larger cabin, with an increased internal volume, for long-distance and international transport.
