Testing Seat Alhambra
Testing Seat Alhambra

The first question that arises when are dealing with this car for the first time is its name. The pronunciation is really difficult for those not familiar with Spanish language, but you should ask your Spanish friend to say this word to you. The name Alhambra came from the old Moorish fortress that towers above the city of Granada. If the mane of this model is clear, we can move to the next chapter and that would be answering the question “Why do we even need this car”?

Large minivans are becoming increasingly unpopular: despite the growth that happens on the market the demand for this types of cars only falls. And from the ones that do make it to a sale the leader is Ford S-Max and Galaxy. Some of the brands have even stopped producing such vehicles and closed the production lines. So what does Seat Alhambra have to offer, really?

First of all, this is a true Volkswagen in its soul and performance. Its face was slightly remodeled to make us believe in its independence, but the fact remains that this is a redesigned Volkswagen. There’s not even a hint on economy that Seat is so famous for, equipment in the salon is rich, plastic is soft, leather is of the highest quality, multimedia system is colorful and fast. Oh, and the price of such creature starts from $ 42.000. That’s not even for a complete set, and what wasn’t included in a basic package can be additionally ordered. You even need to purchase a third seat row and the price you’ll be paying is $ 1.200. Seat apparently thinks that not that many buyers would need a third row. A question follows right after that that sounds something like this : “Why would you ever want to buy a minivan that doesn’t have a third row of seats”? Seems like this vehicle and its marketing strategy is designed for crazy people. Seriously, would you spend such huge amount of money for an incomplete vehicle that is at the same time a minivan? Wouldn’t it be better to buy a crossover or an SUV instead? We absolutely think it would.

What do you think about this vehicle?
