The head and founder of this company, Steve Saleen, has told the reporters that new product will become a production version of the Saleen S5S Raptor concept (shown n the picture) that made ​​its debut in 2008 at the Auto Show in New York.

Over the past few years there have been some changes in the design and specification of the double super coupe. Steve refused to go into deeper details, so we had to recall that original Raptor came with a 5.0-liter V8 engine, developing around 650 horsepower and accelerating the ultra-light car up to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds. An interesting detail - unlike its competitors, \"American\" coupe could absorb not only gasoline, but also ethanol.

Saleen S5S Raptor positioned itself as a much more affordable model than the legendary S7: in 2008 it was assumed that its price tag will show off the figure less than $ 200 000 (compared with nearly 600,000 dollars for the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo).
