The viva is basically a city car that was made from the house of Malaysian automobile group Perodua during the time period of May10, 2007. According to company’s plan the car was originally planned to act as a replacement of the city car of that time, i.e. Perodua Kancil and the Kelisa model versions. However after the launch of the Viva model, there was change in the plan as this car was introduced as the replacement of Kelisa model only. The design and framing of the Perodua Viva was in sync with the Daihatsu Mira vehicle of the 7th generation. The engine of all the Viva model versions used Daihutsu DVVT variety of engine that comes loaded with ABS and double airbag features.
This city car is also provided with 5 door hatchback facility and FF layout that is also associated with the Daihurtsu Mira. The powertrain engine of the car Viva includes 659 cc, 847cc, 989cc respectively for its diverse model variations. The dimension of the car is calculated and measured at wheelbase of 2,390 mm (94.1 in), Length 3,575 mm (140.7 in), Width 1,475 mm (58.1 in), Height 1,530 mm (60.2 in) and Curb weight 660 cc - 755 kg (1,664 lb).
Initially launched in 6 model variation, the Perodua Viva included 660EX, 850EX, 1.0SX Standard, 1.0SXi Premium as manual transmission where as it had two automatic versions of 1.0EZi Premium and 1.0EZ Standard. After the year of 2009, the models were again modified and renovated with new suspension and hatchbacks. It was also fitted with trailing handles and beam axles that was optimized with better power and performing steering and frontal stabilizer option.
