Volkswagen Quantum which is also recognized widely by the names of Volkswagen Dasher, Volkswagen Corsar, Volkswagen Santana, Volkswagen Carat, Volkswagen Magotan and Volkswagen Passat in various parts of the world in accordance to its automobile and sales market. Designed for six generations from the year of 1973, this car was launched by German automaker company Volkswagen to make it a big family car with internal designations of B1, B2 and more. It was in the year of 2008 that Volkswagen planned to expand its Quantum in a more luxurious and comfortable style to be made in the format of four door coupe. Presently two versions of the car are being marketed by the automaker company in the global market. By mid-2011, the company also declared that they have plans to build a mid-sized sedan car that will be assembled and manufactured at the Chattanooga Assembly Plant for the car market of North America.
This car version of Quantum will be sold exclusively within the selective market of South Korea, China and North America. It was in the year of 2012 that the Volkswagen Quantum vehicle won the title of Motor Trend Car of the Year.
Manufactured and produced till date from the year of 1973, the body and chassis of the car was also done in the frame of a big or medium sized family car that is teamed with frontal engine layout for better power. The car belongs to the Group B platform series of Volkswagen and was introduced to the market as a replacement of its predecessor Type 4, Type 3 and Volkswagen K70 models.
