The MPS vehicle version from the automobile group of Mazda was introduced in the year of 2007. Launched as a model for the in-house performance segment, the car is currently in its second generation that exhibit performance, power and prominence at its best. This new version was also provided and updated with 5 door system that allows more space and comfort for passengers.
It was in the year of February 2006 that the Mazda MPS car was introduced for the car enthusiasts at the motor show of Geneva. Similar model of this Mazda MPS was also sold in regions of North America under the name of Mazda speed MPS while in Japan it was prominent by the name of Mazdaspeed Axela. Equipped with front wheel drive and gasoline engine of power 2.3 liter, the car was designed to include mechanisms and specifications from other models such as Dodge Caliber SRT-4, Volkswagen Golf/Rabbit GTI and Ford Focus ST.
Assembled at regions of Hofu in Japan, the car was structured as a sport compact that was body styled with 5 door hatchback and FF layout. It was associated and related to the Mazda 3 version having powertrain engine of 2.3L l4 and 6 speed manual transmissions.
Highly preferred among car enthusiasts who want to have a powerful yet sober looking passenger car, the Mazda MPS won various awards and recognition since its day of introduction. Some of the prominent titles that were given to this car included Car and Driver\'s 10 Best list for three years (2007, 2008 and 2010). It was also provided with All Star title in the Automobile Magazine of 2007, making it a car to bank on.
