Oldsmobile Custom is a station wagon that is available as rear wheel drive format.  It was produced by Oldsmobile for two decades. This model used the same platform of many reputed brands of the vehicles.  This station wagon in full size was the first Oldsmobile creation since the year 1964. The first generation station wagon is created on the basis of C platform. It was manufactured on the largest chassis of Oldsmobile. The station wagon allows seating arrangement for eight forward facing people.

The front fascia displays a distinct look. The wagon comes with a revised Clamshell tailgate. Power glass covered the roof forming the tailgate structure. The power tailgate was available for the first time in the history of the station wagons is supplemented with manual mode tailgate. The power source of the car is V8 engine as it appears with three speed automatic transmission.

The second generation Cruiser model as appeared in the markets is based on B platform. This generation models are lighter compared to those of earlier generation. But then also it still has enough space for eight passengers. It has a sleeker appearance. The fascia in the frontal portion is of lower dimension. Certain models are equipped with woodgrained panels. Door and window designs are revised. Mechanical change was marked in the car with the inclusion of Computer Command Control System. This car runs on V8 engines with three or four speed Turbo-Hydrometric transmission.
