Huge SUV Suburban has been one of the most important and iconic models of General Motors Corporation, including its divisions GMC, for many years. The first modification of the car GMC Suburban appeared in 1935. At that time the car had a rear-wheel drive and all-metal body. Developed on the basis of truck, it could carry up to eight passengers and was easily transformed into a small truck by removing rear seats.
From generation to generation, engineers improved GMC Suburban, introducing new solutions and expanding its equipment. In 1960 the company has presented GMC Suburban with front independent suspension, and after five years buyers could optionally order a car with air conditioning, which considered to be an incredible luxury in 60\'s.
The car was dubbed the Texas limousine. Load capacity of top versions was also very impressive; it amounted to three and a half tons. Incredible full-size SUV could carry up to nine passengers at a time, without constraining them in the cabin. Due to the possibility of towing and all-wheel drive it became very difficult to stuck even while driving on cross-country.
The huge interior is decorated very rich, it has everything that you wish. GMC Suburban moves smoothly and confidently overcomes any roughnesses. Body is very firm (all body parts, except the roof, are double galvanized).
In most cases, a giant GMC Suburban of 1992-1999\'s was installed with gasoline engine V8. But in some cases the car was installed with a diesel engine.
The premiere of a new generation of Suburban, which was based on the same platform GMT900, was held in 2006. Externally it differs from predecessor models with a new design of the front part of the body, with the original grille and new headlights. Creating the new generation the manufacturer has made a focus on increased power and reduced fuel consumption. GMC Suburban is equipped with huge 5.3 and 6.0-liter engines with capacity of 320 hp and 355 hp. Traditionally new Suburban cars are offered with two- or four-wheel drive.
