General Motors has reflected their creativity with some amazing concept cars and also with the regular generation of large series of cars. Pontiac Banshee is one such amazing concept car bearing the trademark of splendid craftsmanship. The four versions ass manufactured can be rightly described as dream cars. The first model made a gala appearance in the markets in the year 1964. External and internal themes of the cars are prone to be modified for the production of the sports cars as created by Pontiac.
The first version is a small two-seater as available with sweeping bonnet and rear deck in smaller dimensions. Various other versions are manufactured following the concept.
Only two among them survived. One of them appears with hard-top in silver and straight six engines. The other model was available as convertible in white as fitted with V8 engines. These cars survived in private collections.
From 1968 second version of the car was available. Deep louvered hood, cooling vents, separate headrests are present as fitted with V8 engines. Third version of models appears in the scene in the year 1974. Improved aerodynamics marked this model with the covered headlights. Quartz halogen headlamps appear in rectangular dimensions. Seats are fitted with red leather offering lavish seating arrangement. Rear seat can be folded up for providing further storage space.
The fourth version of Banshee was available since 1988. The body was designed with fiberglass and fitted with fuel-injected V8 engine capably producing 230 horsepower.
