Derbi GPR 125 has been manufactured and sold by Derbi - Nacional Motor since 2005 as a street bike. The initial version featured a single-cylinder 2-stroke engine made of steel line cast iron, but now it is integrated with a new DOHC 4-stroke 4-valve engine. The bike was also called as Gillera SC125 and is classified as a sport bike.  The engine had a displacement of 124.76cc and was liquid cooled and mated with a 6-speed transmission. The bikes wheel base measured 53.34 inches and dimensions measured 79.68 inches in length, 28.34 inches in width and 45.66 inches in height. Derbi GPR weighed 102 kg dry and was able to store 3.4 US gallons in its tank. Front suspension was  Ø40 mm upside-down fork with 110 mm travel and the rear suspension was Monoshock, adjustable preload with 110mm travel. The bike was offered with single 300mm Disc with 4-piston Radial Calliper in the front and single 180mm disc with 2-piston calliper at the rear. The front tire was 110/70 and the rear sported a 140/70. Italian two wheeler manufacturer Piaggio is the parent company of the Derbi GPR and it is related with bikes including Derbi GPR 125 Nude, Gilera SC 125 and Moto 125sc.
