Sometime back the China based DongFeng Motor Group invested millions of Euros with Peugeot-Citroen and the results are now coming with the release of C-XR SUV concept at the Beijing Motor Show.  This is the first jointly conceived SUV by Citroen and DongFeng and is destined to enter the largest growing automotive market.

 The SUV is proportionally same as the DS4 but substantially gain in ground clearance with the new 17-inch alloy wheels. Additional cladding has been fortified to the front and the back and also the wheel arches. The automaker promises that the suspension is capable of absorbing shocks and bumps of the road effortlessly to experience a smooth driving experience.

The vehicle has a two-wheel drive layout and the all-season tires with the aid of Grip Control have eliminated the need of the 4-wheel drive. In the front we have the 1.6 L petrol engine of PSA producing 160bhp. According to the company sources the use of 4-wheel would unnecessarily increase emission levels and reduce fuel efficiency. But people nowadays no more use the off-roader for going off-road, is not it? C-XR has LED daytime running headlamps, grille with chrome finish, 3-d effect lights in the rear and the “C” running from roof bars to the waist prominently. The cars are expected to land at the eastern sea shores shortly in the future.
