BMW preparing to slot the FAST CUV between 2-series and X1

Spy cameras have shot videos of a FAST BMW being tested and the vehicle as per rumor is to blitz the market in year 2015 last. However, one should not misinterpret the FAST in the first sentence because it sadly represents Family Active Sports Tourer not about its performance. You could take it as a fake advertising ploy.

The car is based on the front-wheel-drive UKL platform that the current generation Mini Cooper has in its underbelly as well as the next X1 and the 2 Series Active Tourer. Spy sources say that the looks are meant to mingle both the CUV and Wagon on the exterior while it sports a larger and functional interior. The car is likely to be offered with the hybrid system starting from the 2 series.

The spied prototype looks to be sharing the styling of the BMW siblings’ front wheel drive definitely. The design looks very similar to the future X1 we know up to the A-pillar. The FAST’s profile is found to be rather arched and a comparatively lower ride height to the conventional and chunkier designs of the crossover. Well, we will know it entirely when it is officially released to the auto world.
