Audi will bring Diesel Electric V A8 e-tron

Audi the German car maker is planning to introduce a hybrid car A8 e-tron which pairs of diesel V6 with electric motor. Audi recently confirmed their plan for installing plug-in hybrid car power-trains across the core line-ups of next five years. As per the latest reports, the full-sized A8 will be the first among electrified followed on the footsteps of its younger sibling A3 the Sportback e-tron. A3 has featured 1.4ltr turbocharged 4 cylinder petrol mill and its electric motor pushes out combined power out of 201bhp at torque 350Nm. While A8 e-tron will feature 3.0ltr diesel engine coupled of electric motors one or more. In combination form, it outputs 368bhp power and torque more than 700Nm. Despite of huge size, its arrangement allows A8 e-tron to run 48kms only on its electric power and with hybrid mode, CO2 emissions will have less than 100g/km. By early 2015, the German automakers will revela its new e-tron system and the production of A8 is likely to start after that in the same set-up of Audio’s other models A6 and Q7. Considering one fact that Sportback A3 e-tron carries a 50% higher price than its standard model, so A8 e-tron also will ask premium significance.
