The Vision Gran Turismo inspired high-performance crossover hatch fascination continues with Vizviv GT of Subaru. This is very much on the line of the Mitsubishi XR-PHEV with enormous aerodynamics and fender flares sprouting like Pikes Peak. But the Subaru model is a little more subdued as it can be seen in the teaser video released by the brand but only a little.
Side-exit exhausts of triangular dimensions protrude through huge sills and wheels of enormous size with multi spokes, looks as if done in carbon fiber partially, which the gargantuan flares are hardly able to contain. On the tail, you find a two-piece rear spoiler looking like the tail of a whale. Under the hood, there is a concept Viziv lurking, and that is what Subaru wants us to believe because the Viziv is not much like the one we witnessed in Tokyo. It exists in three dimensions, not as a model from PlayStation.
Let us sketch the details of the Subaru Viziv 2 concept here. It is fundamentally a redesigned model of the 2013 Viziv Concept shown at the Tokyo show. By and large the exterior designs make it appear as a production-ready vehicle. According to a spokesperson from Subaru, the car does not take on the role of a replacement for Tribeca but a good at the future styling of Subaru. It evokes the memory of a Boxer engine with the bracket style lighting intonation opposed to the cylinders. The lower lights of oversize look like illuminated soccer balls which hugely indicate the segment of consumer Subaru is targeting.
With the combination of minivan-like sliding doors and gullwing, the Viziv 2 looks better. Inside the cabin, you have a large screen in the center accompanied by a gauge cluster. Another major change is the Boxer diesel engine replaced with a 1.6 L direct-injection turbo.
