Tata Nano was launched with much fanfare and was expected to take the country by storm due to its low price of just one lakh Indian rupees. The tiny car failed to do so as the basic model at the basic price was not living up to promise and proved inadequate for the price it was offered. It proved too fragile for the Indian roads and people stopped taking it seriously resulting in to poor sales.
Though the Tata Nano could not prove to be a booming success as it was envisaged originally some enthusiasts would not stay behind from tasting this car and get behind its wheels just for the ridiculousness of it
The latest thing to happen to Nano is the version called Super Nano, a conception of JA Motorsport; an Indian tuner reports Indian Autos Blog. The vehicle sports small sized slick tires, huge fender flares and disc brakes and by the look it, it is quite clear that something very unusual is taking place here. After having modified the exterior to a great extent the JA Motorsport has made it worthwhile by thrusting a 1.3 Liter engine capable of producing a claimed 230hp and placed it at the back. If you consider the original 38hp capability of the car the 1.3 L upgrade should turn the Nano minnow in to a rocketing roller skate. For the sake of passenger safety the cabin of the Nano has been fitted with Recaro racing buckets and a roll cage.
The kind of money you dish out for this Super Nano is capable of buying you a warehouse full of the original model and JA Motorsport has spent $40, 000 or 2.5 million Indian Rupees to effect the changes. We are sure that the experience of driving this new concoction is going to be an unforgettable driving experience. Whether it comes from utter joy or unbound terror is your guess.
