A facelifted Hyundai Verna is slated for launch this year, in addition, mid next month. The model is being brought in showrooms by the brand to serve as a competition to the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz (which has already taken the best seller title from this C-Segment car) and the new Honda City. This new model will appear quite similar to the model showcased last year in China at the Beijing Auto Show. It will although sport bigger headlamps than before and with it the newly tweaked front bumper will also have new fog lamps. A redesigned bonnet is also to make heads turn in admiration. The addition of diamond cut alloy wheels is sure to more than makeup for an unperturbed silhouette. There can also be expected new LED strips for illumination in the place of tail lamps; this comes with two new big reflectors on the rear bumper.
This facelifted Sedan will be seen with only a few alterations when it comes to the interiors; these will, however, make this vehicle more practical and luxurious. The kind of music system, as seen in Xcent and Grand i10, might be added to the facelift Verna by Hyundai. Another expected change can come in the form of a new 7-inch touch screen with navigation.
The engine is powering this version will be the petrol and diesel options as found in the last version. The petrol variants will be two, one powered by a 1.4litre, 105bhp engine and the other through a 121bhp 1.6litre mill. A 5-speed manual gearbox will come mated to both the petrol variants. The diesel option again will be two in number, and both will come with a 6-speed manual transmission. An expected price range for this facelifted Verna by Hyundai is to be between Rs 7.5lakh and Rs 12lakh.
