A Powerful Competition to Audi to be here soon with a Face-lifted Mercedes A-Class Model

The A45 AMG model of Mercedes is slated to receive a facelift this year and the more powerful variant is to take on strongly the Audi RS3. In a way similar to the makeover that B-Class received, it is also expected that Mercedes A-Class will get a refreshed styling and a slight makeover.

Audi RS3 earlier took Mercedes’ claim, of being the most powerful hatchback in the world and Mercedes, seems to be bent upon snatching the title back in its hands. Mercedes holds claim of having extracted most horses from a 2litre petrol engine which was rated at 355bhp. But Audi now has a better claim to the title with its additional seven horses extracted from the engine rated at 362bhp.

The increase in power is although has not been officially indicated by the company but it is rumoured that the A45 AMG will find an increase and receive power around 375bhp. The expectations on one hand but it is also important that the model in terms of acceleration receives an increase in the current top speed of this A-Class model of Mercedes is limited electronically to 250kmph. The rumour mills hint towards a newer, refined and unique grille for the facelifted model, although it might not be re-styled in the most radical way. The official launch from Mercedes states 15 for 15 which when deciphered for common understanding means that the year 2015 will see the launch of only 15 models.

The aim behind the launch of a powerful variant of the Mercedes A-Class is as has also been told by the Mercedes AMG CEO is that they wish to give strong competition to Audi RS3. The availability of this latest Mercedes version of A-Class can be expected to be immediately after its launch which is to be held globally.
