Hyundai 2016 Elantra Lineup gets Value Edition
Hyundai 2016 Elantra Lineup gets Value Edition

The year 2015 is nearing its halfway mark, and this has denoted the increase of 2016 models from a trickle to a cascade culminating into a jet stream.  Hyundai has quietly slipped into the stream with its 2016 Elantra, added with new features and also a Value Edition, which offers a set of goodies that you have always been asking for and some money saving.

The Elantra lineup starts with $17,975, and it finds some changes. The earlier Limited-trim example has now become regular with dual-zone climate control and push-button start. Standard leather seats are neither more for the Sports trim and nor is the sunroof. This has been done by reducing the cost of the vehicle.

The latest Value Edition, which carries a name which does not epitomize the merriment of thriftiness as the “Chevrolet Thriftmaster”, or “Dodge D150 Miser”, has been given a special set of 16-Inch wheels, a tilt/telescopic steering wheel wrapped in leather, a power aided sunroof,  push-button start, heated front seats and  turn signals mounted side mirrors. Well, being a frugal spender when acquiring your car does not necessarily make you hate some dazzle in it. This is very much on the mind of Hyundai, and it has aptly thrown some features such as the aluminum door sills and a chrome beltline molding to accentuate it.

There are no changes made while offering engine choices and they remain the naturally aspirated 1.8 Liter four-cylinder engine offering 145 horsepowers and the 2.0 Liter generating 173 horses. For the SE, Limited trim and Value Edition, the 1.8 Liter naturally aspirated is the regular feature whereas the Sports models get to carry a 2.0 Liter in their bellies. Hyundai offers two transmission choices, and they are the six-speed m annual and six-speed automatic transmissions. Hyundai fans, you now know what has been added to Elantra, go forth and pick your choice.
