Buick Lucerne is a full-size four-door sedan that is manufactured by Buick Department of General Motors Corporation. The model was produced from 2006 and its production continued for five years. Body of Lucerne is made of steel.
Buick Lucerne is the first car of brand Buick that has received Magnetic Ride Control system completed with a StabiliTrak, which allowed to reach a new level control of the vehicle in difficult driving conditions and in the corners. Another advantage of the car is the exclusive system QuietTuning, which provides a high level of sound insulation of the cabin.
Lucerne is equipped with aggregates with volume of 3.8 and 4.6-liters and shock absorbers of variable rigidity Magnetic Ride Control. Key indicators of the car are similar to the parameters of Cadillac DTS. Thus the engine of 4.6-liter and capacity of 279 and 296 horsepower is borrowed from Cadillac.
Luxury sedan Buick Lucerne is available in four versions: CX, CXL, CXL Premium and Super. Basic CX and CXL are equipped with a V6 engine volume of 3.8 liters and 200 horsepower CXL stands out with leather interior trim, leather steering wheel and the presence of 17-inch aluminum wheels with paintings.
CXL Premium is equipped with a 4.6-liters engine with capacity of 279 liters. s. Modification Super comes with the same engine, but its power is increased to 296 hp. The basic equipment of Buick Lucerne is updated with satellite navigation system Ouster and digital radio XM Satellite.
In 2008, the previous V6 engine was replaced with a new volume of 3.9 liters and output of 227 hp. Then in the lineup was complimented with Buick Lucerne Super with V8 engine of increased power (292 hp).
\"Lucerne\" was well received by U.S. buyers: in 2006, the U.S. has sold nearly 100,000 of these machines. But in the future every year the demand for the car was reduced, and in the summer of 2011 its production at the plant near Detroit was finished.
