Toyota iQ is famous as a compact car of city type. Different innovative engineering and design solutions were implemented in the design of iQ that allows combining high quality equipment and a high level of security. The first concept version of the car was presented in September 2007 at the Frankfurt motor show. The production version was available in 2009.

Toyota iQ has a compact body with length 2985 mm and width of 1680 mm. The turning radius of the car is only 7.8 meters. To maximize the inner room, all four wheels of the model were shifted in the direction of the body corners. Its appearance is successfully supplemented with 16-inch alloy wheels. The whole salon of iQ has everything necessary for comfort with its 2000 mm wheelbase. The distance between the centers of the front seats is 710 mm. However only three adult persons can comfortably sit in the salon, the fourth place behind driver's seat is rather suitable for a child. The average fuel consumption is 4.9 l. per 100 km. But iQ is not only economical van, but also environmentally friendly - it emits just 99 g/km of CO2. The size of the fuel tank is 32 l. By the way, tank is another innovative solution in the Toyota iQ. It is flat and spread on the bottom of the vehicle, freeing up space in the passenger compartment.

The car is created on the basis of principally new platform, with a high stiffness and a strong safety cage, which ensures the absorption of impact energy of high intensity. Toyota iQ is equipped with a wide range of active and passive safety, including anti-lock brake system (ABS), the electronic brake force distribution (EBD), power brake assist (BA), traction system (TRC) and a system of exchange rate stability VSC+. The Toyota iQ is available in 10 original colors of the body.
