Dodge stratus

Review:

Dodge Stratus is a family mid size sedan produced in 1995. This car was based on the Chrysler JA platform and was featured on “Car and Driver” magazine's Top List of 1996 and 1997 cars. The production of Dodge Stratus was terminated in 2006 with a total number of cars built becoming 1,308,123. The Avenger model was the one to replace the Stratus in 2007. There were only two generations of cars during the entire time of its production. The first one existed from 1995 until 2000 and the second continued until 2006. The first generation came in only one body style: the four-door sedan. Two versions of this car were available at first: the Base version and the ES. The Base version of Dodge Stratus was equipped with 2.0 liter SOHC engine by default but had a 2.4 liter optional one. The ES version had a standard 2.0 SOHC engine as well but had one optional package: the 2.5 liter V6 one. This engine became the only option for every model produced since 2000. The interior design became almost unchangeable during the entire production time. The features of the Dodge Stratus included the following: the four-speed automatic and optional semi-automatic transmission; four wheel independent suspension; tilt steering wheel; anti-lock brakes; cruise control system; remote keyless entry system; sunroof; power door locks, windows, antenna, driver’s seat; anti-theft system and so on. The features can be named all day but you got the idea. With all this there’s no surprise this car became this popular and had so many sales, mostly in the North American market. Different courtiers had their own modified versions that were only available in several locations. In Mexico, for example, Dodge Stratus was available with a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder DOHC engine with almost 168 hp capacity and AutoStick four-speed automatic transmission. The European version of Stratus had a 2.0 liter V6 engine installed. During it’s not that long lifetime Dodge Stratus managed to become one of the most loved family cars of that time.
