PGO Company has released official pictures and some information about the Cevennes Water Snake show car that was presented for the first time in Shanghai this April. Everyone assumed that blue body of the Cevennes, built from carbon panels, was designed specifically for Chinese buyers (because PGO has entered the Chinese market for the first time). And now we know that this version of this model’s body will soon be available in other countries of the world. Apart from that, the car shows some changes prepared for ordinary PGO Cevennes versions.
Apparently, some small improvements of the model, new headlights and daytime running lights, in particular, will become available in new serial version of the Water Snake concept. The improved interior trimming that used carbon details and high quality leather deserves a special attention. And the Pioneer entertainment console is yet another interesting feature of the serial car. With all that said, we still don’t know how soon the changes will be applied to serial cars, as well as when the production of the series will start.
The price of such interesting innovations is also unknown, but that’s understandable.
New 18-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires is one of the differences Shanghai concept has from its serial brothers, which have only 17-inch tires. Splitter on front bumper and massive arcs behind the seats will become part of optional sport package of the serial PGO Cevennes.
This French retro car that was based on Porsche 356 will be equipped with 1.6 liter BMW turbo engine with 240 hp of capacity, which is quite phenomenal for a car that weights less than 1000 kg. The gear box is presented with a six-speed automatic transmission. The length of PGO Cevennes is only 3.7 meters and it has a 110 liter trunk. The average fuel consumption is 7.6 liters per 100 km and tank’s capacity is 42 liters. But what’s special about this car is its deep blue color that takes your breath away when you see the car for the first time.
