The new stylish model Ford Mustang 2015 was originally believed to have gained about 200 pounds, but it seems that it is not to be. It is now made clear that it is just a little pounds more than the preceding generation. The curb weight of the base Mustang V6 fastback with a manual transmission is 3526 pounds and with an automatic it weights 3530. This means a gain of 30 pounds for the manual and 12 pounds for the auto transmission.

Coming to the EcoBoost Mustang it has a curb weight of 3532 pounds for the base model which includes a manual transmission and 3524 pounds with an automatic. If you compare this with the previous year’s V6 it has gained 36 pounds with the manual gearbox and a mere 6 pounds with an automatic transmission.

The high end Mustang has the most weight gain with 87 pounds with manual transmission making it a total of 3705 pounds. The mustang with the V8 gains 54 pounds with an automatic transmission making the final curb weight as 3729 pounds. Power numbers for the Ford models have also been released and the V6 generates 300hp, the V8 and the EcoBoost outputs 435hp and 310hp respectively.
